This matter began with some initial workshop notes that appeared in the 1994/1995 Nagualist newsletter, when after announcing to everyone that her book 'Tales of Energy' would soon be published, Carol Tiggs also told the people who
attended that workshop that she "was with Carlos Castaneda when he
planted the power plants that Vicente gave him (as reported in his book 'A Separate Reality') and the allies appeared and asked him to take them."
That same story was also part of a chapter in the next book Castaneda was writing, which came out in 1998 with the title 'The Active Side of Infinity', and which Nury (Castaneda's adopted daughter) read aloud to the workshop attendees in Long Beach in February 1997.
But when this book was finally published, this chapter was removed, probably because in his book 'A Separate Reality', this anecdote where Castaneda told the story of Vicente giving him the power
plants, was dated May 23, 1968, that is, several years before Castaneda
had knowledge of Carol's existence, both in his own stories and in real life.
And Carol, by stating that she was with Castaneda at this event, exposed his charlatanism and also Castaneda's charlatanism.
