ACCORDING TO TAISHA
In her book "Where the Sorcerers Cross" (1992) Taisha commented that the first time she met Castaneda was through Don Juan's group:
« I followed his instructions, and immediately a small window opened in
the black wall, about six inches from my nose. The caretaker was sitting
to my right, apparently looking out of another small window, and said
to me:
- "Look inside, what do you see?"
The room was brightly lit and full of people. They were the witches and warlocks from Don Juan's group.
Four
of the men were older and looked as fierce as the nagual Don Juan, but
one was young. He had dark skin, was short, and seemed very strong. His
hair was black and curly. He gestured animatedly as he spoke, and his
face was full of energy and expressiveness. There was something about
him that made him stand out from all the others. My heart leaped, and I
was immediately drawn to him.
- "That's the new nahual," said the caretaker.
- "When will I meet him?" I asked.
- "When all the members of my group face infinity together," he replied. »

REALITY
I am convinced that Taisha did not know Don Juan or his group and that this story is pure fantasy.
And
it is also a lie that Taisha was going to meet Castaneda when Don
Juan's group "would merge with infinity" because Castaneda stated that
this happened in 1973, but he met Taisha a decade earlier.
Historical
records indicate that Taisha met Castaneda in Los Angeles between 1964
and 1965, when she was 18 or 19 years old and he was 38 or 39. At that
time, they were both studying at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Taisha's
mother commented that her daughter had become romantically involved
with a much older man, whom Taisha affectionately called "her teacher".
At that time Taisha lived with her sister Agnes, who also disapproved of the relationship, and after several arguments about it, Taisha moved out one day and never returned.
