Harvey Spencer Lewis
(1883-1939) was the founder of AMORC and Lewis was credited by this
organization with having painted several portraits of the masters.
Jesus
In AMORC it is said that
Spencer Lewis painted the following Jesus portrait.
In its 1951 advertisement AMORC wrote: “it is an oil painting that
hangs in the initiation chamber of the High Temple”.
It seems that this portrait was painted between 1915 and 1916 (since
the beginning of AMORC) and for many years AMORC has been selling copies and
photographs of this painting to its members.
Kuthumi
In AMORC it is also said
that Spencer Lewis painted the following Kuthumi's portrait.
Spencer Lewis registered the copyright of this painting on June
8, 1925 in the property registry with the folio: K195055, R109744.
But contrary to Jesus portrait, this Kuthumi's portrait was
not commercialized and was only published in the first chapter of the book “Rosicrucian Manual”.
Most likely, to create this portrait, its author based himself on the portrait
that Wolfgang Freiherr von Bibra painted of Kuthumi in 1916.
And Kuthumi's portrait of Wolfgang was commercialized by AMORC.

Spencer Lewis was such a
lying man that I doubt he really painted those pictures.
