Marc Demarest has reported in his
blog about a photograph for sale that the seller suspected might be of Madame
Blavatsky.
He
said the following:
« A
few of us (well, me) got into a tizzy last weekend over an auction, on eBay, of
what appeared to be a heretofore-unknown Helena Blavatsky.
The photo had no offered provenance beyond two scribbles on its verso,
the older reading "Blavatsky?"
and the newer erasing the question mark. »

And although the matter is only
anecdotal, it is
interesting the analysis made by the theosophical researchers John Patrick
Deveney and Erica Georgiades about it and which you can read (here).
