The
French journalist and writer Veronique Skawinska was the wife of the
world-famous musician Vangelis, and was also a personal friend of the
singer Demis Roussos with whom she wrote her autobiographical book.
She
became obsessed with Carlos Castaneda, to the point that she traveled
to the United States to search for and find this writer, and after many
efforts she finally succeeded in 1985.
She
later recounted her odyssey in a book in French entitled “Rendez-vous
sorcier avec Carlos Castaneda” (A Magical Appointment with Carlos
Castaneda) which was published by Denoël in 1989.
In
1995 a documentary appeared that seems to have been made by her in
which in the first part several actors interpret the search that she
carried out to find Castaneda.
And in the second part, Veronique records her trip to Mexico where she followed some traces left by Castaneda.
