S. Ramabadra Ramaswamier was a Brahmin and a disciple of master Morya.
Ramaswamier died in 1893, and his son K. R. Sitaraman published in 1894 in Madras a pamphlet entitled "Isis Even More Revealed" where was the image that I put above.
And below the portrait appears the following text:
« MAHATMA “M …………………….......” (MORYA)
From a Drawing presented to my father .
The original bears the following: "To
Rama B. Yogi, my faithful ~~~~~ (the word is indecipherable) in
commemoration of the event of 5th, 6th
and 7th October 1882, in the jungles
of Sikkim." »
Those dates refer to the
skills that Ramaswamier went through to be able to meet master
Morya, and I tpublished this event in this other article (see
link ).
It
is not known what became of the original drawing, and how it was
produced and delivered to Ramaswamier, although it was probably
materialized to him in the same way as the portrait of master Kuthumi was sent
to his lay pupil, Mr. Alfred Sinnett.
And it is
interesting to note that the portrait that tmaster Morya gave to his
disciple Ramaswamier is very similar to the portrait that Mr. Harrisse
made four years earlier in New York:
And to the portrait that Hermann Schmiechen painted two years later:
