Alice Bailey pretended to the public to have great admiration for Blavatsky, and that is why at the beginning of her book “Treatise on Cosmic Fire” she wrote:
DEDICATED WITH GRATITUDE
TO
HELENA PETROVNA BLAVAYSKY
THAT GREAT DISCIPLE WHO LIGHTED
HER TORCH IN THE EAST AND BROUGHT
THE LIGHT TO EUROPE AND AMERICA IN
1875.
But to her followers Alice Bailey was contemptuous towards Blavatsky, and so for example in her Autobiography, Alice Bailey wrote:
« In many aspects HPB's book, The Secret Doctrine, is out of date, and its approach to the knowledge of the Ageless Wisdom has little or no appeal for the modern generation. »
(Chapter 6)
I
agree that this book is difficult to read, but it is not outdated
because transcendental knowledge does not vary over time. Alice Bailey didn't want people to read The Secret Doctrine but the books she wrote .
And about this disdain that Alice Bailey showed towards Blavatsky, theosophist Alice Cleather commented the following:
« Alice
Bailey skillfully pushes HP Blavatsky into the background with small
suggestions and comments in her books. Her strategy is to "damning
with faint praise," being thrown out now and again - a well-known form of
"suggestion." »
( The pseudo-occultism of Alice Bailey)
I have perceived this with the example that I gave above, but also by the fact that in her book “Treatise on Cosmic Fire”, Alice Bailey made many references to the “The Secret Doctrine”
, but she only did this with the purpose of making her readers believe
that her book is based on Blavatsky's magnum opus, and therefore that
her book also contains the knowledge provided by the Masters of Wisdom.
But
when you study more deeply the “Treatise on Cosmic Fire” you realize thatthis
book contains almost nothing of what Blavatsky taught, and instead this
book is full of the errors and falsehoods that the liar Charles
Leadbeater invented.
CONCLUSION
Alice Bailey apparently liked Blavatsky
but in reality she disowned her.
