The founder of AMORC, Harvey Spencer
Lewis, in his magazine The American Rosae
Crucis, February 1916, page 8, put the following image saying that it was a
map of the world made by the ancient Egyptian Rosicrucians in the year 1300
before Christ.
Below the
image Lewis wrote:
« The map shown above represents the countries of the world with the
signs, symbols and planetary characters allotted to them by the Rosaecrucians
in Egypt many centuries before Christ.
It is interesting to note that the Eagle, with the
arrows of Sagittarius (which rules the continent) is allotted to North America
along with the Pyramid and other symbols, which were adopted so many years
later at Washington by those who were unaware of these things being previously
ascribed by the Rosacerucians.
The map is made from drawings found on the walls in Rosaecrucian
Temples and the Pyramid Cheops in Egypt. »
HOW TRUE IS THIS MAP?
So far no
genuine Rosicrucian temple has been discovered, and nowhere in the Pyramid of
Cheops has anything resembling such a map been found. In fact if Spencer Lewis
had been more informed he would know that contrary to the tombs of the
pharaohs, in the Pyramid of Cheops there are no images or hieroglyphs painted
on its walls.
In addition,
it is too crazy that in the territory of the United States the "Egyptian
Rosicrucians" have placed several symbols used many centuries later by
this country and have not placed anything in the other countries (with the
exception of a bear in Russia).
This image
shows the enormous charlatanism of Spencer Lewis because it is clearly seen
that this map was made from the knowledge of the world in the 20th century,
while in ancient times the geography of our planet was much less known. .
And some may
object to me that the Rosicrucians had very advanced knowledge, but all the
great esotericists will tell you that the Rosicrucians appeared many centuries
after the year 1300 BC, but Spencer Lewis in his charlatanism invented that the
Rosicrucians came from the Old Egypt.
CONCLUSION
Most likely this map was made by Lewis himself (or he
had it made) and is one more example of how immensely deceitful, liar and
ignorant that individual was.
