Among the reasons why the Earth is
spherical, a very important reason that I discovered is that if the Earth was
flat, as is claimed by flat Earther, then the huge meteorite that
impacted the planet millions of years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period,
it would have ejected the dinosaurs into space and we would currently have no
oil.
But since we have been burning a lot
of hydrocarbons for over a century, this means that the dinosaurs remained on
the planet and they were only scorched, and therefore we conclude that the Earth is
round.
(Just kidding.)
